I grew up in a sewing family. Quilting everywhere, my mom, aunts, grandma, cousins, family friends, etc. Yet despite being completely surrounded, I never really connected to it, apart from a few attempts in elementary school. I think maybe a good portion of that is that I am very picky about what fabrics I like. Very very picky. Spoonflower is a new company that lets you upload your own fabric designs. I’m very intrigued. It’s still in beta, and invitation only at this point, but I really hope they do well, as I’d love to try it out. And maybe finally invest in a sewing machine.
